My name is Ali but some people know me by Knives, Astoria, and Rebel Alley. I live in a fantasy world where I’m a new person everyday. One day I’m a top-secret spy, the next a world traveler. Some days I’m a world renowned chef, a concert pianist, a mountaineer. I’m also a witch, an artist, and an intuitive healer. Maybe out of all these fantasies one can come true…right? I’ve decided to pick world traveler. I can be the rest of those people anywhere in the world, so maybe I can have it all.
I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Anthropology, a minor in Spanish, and a TEFL certificate. I love all aspects of culture, especially music, food, art, and dance. Animals, Greek mythology, Tolkien lore, magic, and nature are the things I hold dear to my heart.
I grew up on an island you may know as Key West, Florida where I learned to love my eccentricities. I have also lived in Sarasota, Saint Petersburg, and Orlando. When I was 23 I decided to move my life to Denver, Colorado to bask in the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. I guess moving here wasn’t quite enough as I’m still itching to live in new places.
I am currently seeking employment opportunities abroad. I am hoping to teach for a year while my partner finishes his PhD. After he graduates we plan to move to Japan where we will both hopefully teach.
I am obsessed with Meyers-Briggs and Jungian Typology/Psychology. My MBTI is INFP. I play classical piano-my favorite composers are Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Liszt, Phillip Glass, and Yann Tiersen. I can play enough guitar to sing you a campfire song and am learning to play banjo and dulcimer. Now that I’m an adult and my parents aren’t around to complain about noise, maybe I can fulfill my childhood dream of becoming a drummer.
If I’m not playing piano or traveling you can find me drawing, painting, cooking, and going on long walks either in the city or in the mountains. Just like every other white girl, I am obsessed with true crime/serial killer shows and podcasts. Want to impress me? Give me your favorite true crime stories so we can solve them together.
